「IN STOCK」Needles Boa Lining Shawl Coat

Although we've had a few days of unseasonably warm weather, Winter will be here any moment and this offering from Needles is just what you need to carry you through the cold. Made in Japan of a 70 /30 cotton/nylon blend exterior and a 100% wool pile interior, the Boa Lining Shawl Coat features a myriad of details. Two welt pockets and two flap pockets all accented in deerskin adorn the front of the coat and the bottom skirt is quilted for added warmth.

「IN STOCK」Needles Arrow Jacket in Harris Tweed

The latest delivery from our Japan-based brand Needles offers a number of quality outerwear pieces. Along with the Alpaca Coat from a few days back, we now have the Arrow Jacket. This jacket has a similar approach in its design by making minor alterations and updates to a classic silhouette. The body of the jacket is made from Harris Tweed and has the throwback feel of something you might find in your father's closet. The accents on the pockets, elbows, and cuffs are made with deerskin leather. The tweed and leather combination provides a nice contrast now but will look even better after years of wear.

「IN STOCK」Needles V-Cardigan

The FW12 edition of the Needles V-Cardigans are now available at the shop. The sweaters come in a variety of colors and patterns and are made from a mix of Mohair (from Angora goats), Alpaca (see picture) and wool. The V-Cardigans are warm and hairy, two adjectives I only want to hear together when describing sweaters.

Using the same fabric as the Easy Shorts we posted last week, we now have the Printed Cotton Lawn and the Batik Stole from the Needles SS12 collection. Both of these styles are made from 100% cotton and are available in a wide range of colors and prints. From lively floral and paisleyish to the classic batik pattern, these make for the perfect light summer scarf.

The spring/summer season from Needles this year takes cues from European military and work wear. One of the more vibrant items available from this collection is the Batik Easy shorts. The shorts feature a great patchwork pattern on lightweight cotton, a perfect fabric for the summer months. Each style is unique in its own and features everything from floral to animal prints to ethnic-inspired motifs.

The Double Strap Sandals by Needles are made from shell cordovan leather on a cork footbed with Vibram leather sole. Made to last, these are perfect for the upcoming summer months and for many years to come.

New for Needles SS12, is the China shirt. The "shirt jacket" maintains a casual elegance and ease of wear with references from traditional men's jackets of a bygone era. This version is expertly constructed utilizing french seams throughout and uses 50/50 rayon cotton blend fabric that has a great hand feel to ensure comfort and durability.

「IN STOCK」Needles Square Bottom Slit Shirt

The Needles Square Bottom Slit Shirt is now available at Nepenthes NY. This garment, which is almost completely identical to its cousin, comes with a small slit on each side which gives it a little more mobility and comfort.  When thrown on, the shirt lays perfectly well onto the waistline (this is not a shirt you can tuck in). 

「IN STOCK」Needles One Up Collar Shirt

We now have polka-dot linen shirts from Needles' spring/summer 2012 collection. Made in Japan and based on classic "American-casual" shirt designs, these  shirts feature a pair of chest pockets, a one-piece convertible collar, and a squared off hem. Easy to throw on, easy to wrinkle, and easy to wear for the warmer weather ahead.
